Iran is prepared to resume nuclear discussions with Washington provided that it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

Abbas Araghchi said only diplomacy was effective, and shared new appeals had come from go-betweens to restart discussions with the American leadership. He said Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Iran had not yet reached a point to authorize the UN nuclear inspectorate to visit struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Navigating a Challenging Course

The foreign minister is navigating a challenging course since Iran aims to avoid be seen to be proceeding from a position of weakness, and he consistently maintained that Iran had arisen stronger defensively and emotionally from the Israeli-US attack on its atomic facilities in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to refine atomic fuel within its borders that it will never give up" – the key factor of the stalemate in the prior discussions.

Earlier Talks Abruptly Terminated

The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were brought to an abrupt and bitter end on 12 June when Israel, with US support, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that concluded with the American leader asserting the facilities had been obliterated. Afterward, Western states employed their right to reimpose international penalties, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Ideal Resolution Offered

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had reached a "ideal resolution" to the nuclear fuel concern in earlier negotiations, when it was settled an local partnership with US participation could refine atomic fuel. Both sides would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have remained and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been decided in the negotiations that American atomic experts could operate inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the cooperative offer. Diplomats stated repeatedly they had secured an understanding with Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to collapse due to "detractors in America".

Existing Situation

In his remarks to the forum, aimed to portray the US as a controlling nation that abuses the notion of international law, the foreign minister said the 12-day war demonstrated the dispute could not be ended by combat operations. He stated the assaults began with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an unconditional call for a truce.

Iran is certain the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were executed with complete American awareness and cooperation, making faith difficult to reestablish.

The foreign minister declared: "It was not Iran that had fled dialogue; it was the United States and the western countries that had always tried to dictate their demands during the negotiations. "If they address to the Iranian people with the approach of dignity and honor, they will obtain a response in the equivalent tone."

Repair and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Iranian officials as the conflict of repair and reconstruction, Araghchi said he was confident Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than before 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been restored. We gained multiple understandings from this conflict; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the weaknesses of the adversary."

He stated: "We managed to survive this engagement. Our atomic expertise, which they aimed to obliterate, continues to exist. The sites and gear, if damaged, will be rebuilt; what is essential is the determination of the nation of Iran and then the unity of the country that they aimed at, but failed to destroy. The nation of Iran have become stronger, more integrated, and more endorsing of the administration and the state in the aftermath of this invasion."
