A deputy chief prosecutor stated, âLegal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.â
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators described as a âcomplex investigationâ into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
