Football Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.
For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Football and Parenting Experiences
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer side," he said.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still Forest manager.
So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.
My son advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
They have have lots of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.
However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.
Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
